Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em> recognizes that in order to observe the Fordham University School of Law motto, \u201cin the service of others\u201d we must use environmentally sustainable practices to minimize our environmental impact whenever possible.\u00a0 Fordham University respects the environment and supports sustainable practices<\/a>, through Green Campus Initiatives<\/a>, Campus Recycling<\/a>, Green Buildings<\/a>, Dining and Food Services<\/a>, Transportation Initiatives<\/a>, and Partnerships<\/a> like the Catholic Climate Covenant<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Under Fordham University\u2019s leadership to support environmental sustainability<\/a>, the Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em> is excited to transfer all publications to electronic publishing and storage.\u00a0 By transferring to FLASH<\/a>, the Fordham Law Archive of Scholarship and History, hosted on Digital Commons<\/a>\u00a0powered by\u00a0bepress<\/a> (Berkeley Electronic Press),\u00a0Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em> will become the first Fordham Law journal to publish solely electronically. \u00a0We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact and promoting green initiatives through publishing.<\/p>\n

Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em>\u2019s decision to publish electronically aligns not only with our environmentally sustainable outlook but also with current legal research trends<\/a>. Because many practitioners have transitioned or plan to transition to utilizing online <\/a>resources<\/a> rather than relying on print, student editors and staff members of Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em> will be better prepared and aligned with the current landscape<\/a> of the legal field<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em> is a dynamic and interdisciplinary publication that explores many domestic and international environmental issues ranges from the regulation of air, water, and soil pollution to land use to social policy issues.\u00a0 Since its inception in 1989, Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em> has provided a forum for scholars and practitioners to reflect on relevant and important topics to the study and practice of environmental law.\u00a0 Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em> publishes three issues annually, one centered around the annual Symposium and a Fall and Spring issue.\u00a0 Issues include articles and essays written by professors and practitioners and notes and comments written by Fordham Law students.<\/p>\n

Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em> content is protected and secured through the bepress Archive<\/a>, and will continue to provide relevant academic discourse in environmental law topics such as environmental policy, economics, international environmental law, energy law, animal law, natural resources and land use, and corporate social responsibility and sustainability. Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em> is currently ranked #11 by the Washington and Lee Law Journals and Submissions Rankings<\/a> for environmental publications internationally from 2009-2016.<\/p>\n

Fordham Environmental Law Review<\/em> hosts an annual Symposium each spring that draws leading scholars, lawmakers and regulatory officials in the environmental law field, as well as environmental advocates and concerned citizens.<\/p>\n
